I AM Kindness Gallery Show

The I AM Kindness Gallery Show is an art show in which money is of no value.

All of the artworks being shown will be available only by performing acts of kindness – ranging from playing with animals at a shelter to volunteering at a nursing home to assisting a gallery during open hours. Each work of art will have a designated kindness chosen by the artist.

I AM Kindness artists include Terrance Payne, Leanna Perry, Mike Carney, Norah Stone, Justin James Sehorn, Kate Iverson, Noah Harmon, Eddie Perrote, Nicholas Carroll, Genevieve Hesselberg, Danielle Voight, Caitlin Karolszack, Garret Perry, Anne Labovitz, Kevin O’Meara, Michael Cina, Bryant Locher, Lindsay Splichal, Shelly Mosman, Allegra Lockstadt, Neal Perbix, and Graham Tolbert.

To “purchase” the works the patron will put their name into a bowl next to the work of art they are wishing to obtain. At the end of the evening a name will be drawn from each bowl and that is the person who will receive the artwork once the designated act of kindness is completed.

I’m really excited about this year’s event. I like creating win, win, win scenarios. This event exposes new audiences to talented local artists, draws attention to local non-profits, and creates an environment in which money is of no value.
— Sarah Edwards, founder and visionary of I AM Kindness

The event was free. Free valet was sponsored by Fulton beer. Free/open bar sponsored by Le Meridien Chambers Hotel, coffee cart by Spyhouse coffee and an after-party in the rooftop space sponsored by Fulton beer. (All was first come, first served with respect to capacity issues.)
